TUF ? Jiu Jitsu Takeover & UFC 121

Wow, my UFC 120 predictions don’t look so hot right now do they! Ever a glutton for punishment, here are some picks for UFC 121 – it’s lucky I’m not a betting man!

Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez will square off at UFC 121...

The Champ, and the Challenger

Lesnar V Velasquez – Don’t get me wrong, I love Cain, he is clearly the future, but I think this step up may be a little too much too soon.

Sanchez V Thiago – This will be an interesting fight, I’m a fan of Diego, but after seeing what BJ did to him I don’t know if he’s in the same class or quality as Thiago.

Ortiz V Hamill – Gotta go with Hamill, mainly because of Tito’s totally ridiculous comments about how deaf people have a ‘messed up equilibrium’. Really? Come on now. (I’ve quoted him below, but I warn you may actually become dumber if you read what he said.)

Watch how Franklin knocked him out quick. You hit them [deaf fighters] with soft shots because their equilibrium, they don’t have no equilibrium.”

Sure you don’t want to read that again just to be certain? Ok good.

Schaub V Gonzaga – I’m excited to see Schaub face some¬† pretty tough competition, but I don’t think he’s got what it takes to do one over on Gonzaga though.

Cote V Lawlor – WAR COTE. I just want to see the guy back in good shape because he was the best prospect at taking on Anderson Silva seriously.

Mcgee V Jensen – Gotta give this one to Mcgee on warrior spirit. (Meaning, I hope he wins, and in reality I have no idea.)

Now, for those of you watching The Ultimate Fighter, SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET (in Clay Davis from The Wire voice). All I can say is big up Cody Mckenzie, that was serious. Two great fights, WAR Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

Big love to those following us @JSchofTraining on Twitter, let me know what you’d like more of! Currently using it to answer people’s questions and give quick advice, so follow if you want to be a part of it! For example, I just got a tweet from a contact at the weigh-ins saying that Tito is wearing a t-shirt that says ”Dana is my hero”. Hahahaha.

Lastly, I’m heading off to Phuket, Thailand to do some training in a few weeks. I’m kinda regretting it, thinking I should go back to Jitti Gym in Bangkok like last time. Still, all about new experiences and that. Work on the site is ongoing, and new articles will be coming shortly, don’t forget if you have any questions or want advice on certain topics, all you gotta do is post a comment. Have a great weekend everyone!
